STERNBERG:- The Steenberg Police Station has launched a recruitment drive for police reservists, offering an opportunity for dedicated individuals to serve their community on a voluntary basis.
Reservists play a crucial role in supporting the South African Police Service (SAPS), assisting in crime prevention, law enforcement, and community safety. If you have a passion for making a difference, this could be your chance to step up.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify as a reservist, applicants must meet the following requirements:
✅ Be a South African citizen by birth
✅ Be between 18 and 35 years old (proof required)
✅ Be medically, mentally, and physically fit (medical certificate required)
✅ Have good character and no criminal record
✅ Hold a Grade 12 certificate or SAQA-accredited NQF Level 4 qualification
✅ Be proficient in at least two official languages, including English
✅ Be willing to undergo training and screening as required by SAPS
✅ Be employed and provide proof of employment
✅ Have no visible tattoos when in uniform
Applicants must also complete a health questionnaire, undergo fingerprint and DNA screening, and commit to SAPS training and protocols.
