Reporter – George April

Gugulethu:-  The community of New Crossroads is reeling after yet another brutal mass shooting claimed three lives and left two others wounded on Wednesday night.

The attack took place in Moletsane Crescent, where gunmen ambushed five men believed to be in their thirties. According to Western Cape police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut, four armed suspects opened fire before fleeing the scene with stolen cellphones and a firearm belonging to one of the victims.

Residents say they are living in fear, with gun violence becoming an almost daily threat in some areas. “We’re tired of waking up to death and bloodshed. This cannot be our normal,” said one local resident who asked not to be named.

Police have confirmed that the province’s Serious and Violent Crime Unit is investigating the murders. The motive for the attack remains unknown, and no arrests have been made so far.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

This is a developing story, CCN will bring updates as more details become available.
