Reporter – George April
CAPE TOWN:- Steenberg is set to host a transformative event for children aged 6 to 15, as the Philisa Abafazi Bethu Women Center SA launches its Anti-Bullying Holiday Program from March 31st to April 3rd.
This initiative, running daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 55-57 Strauss Avenue, Steenberg, aims to equip young participants with the knowledge and confidence to stand against bullying.
Bullying remains a critical issue affecting many young children, often leading to long-term emotional and psychological challenges. Recognizing the importance of addressing this problem, the Philisa Abafazi Bethu Women Center SA has designed a program to promote kindness, respect, and compassion while teaching practical strategies for dealing with bullying.
The program will engage children in interactive activities, discussions, and role-playing exercises to help them identify different forms of bullying and develop the skills to respond effectively. Led by experienced facilitators, the sessions will foster friendship, self-awareness, and resilience, ensuring that each child leaves with a stronger sense of self-worth and the tools to create a positive impact in their schools and communities.
Parents are encouraged to support this initiative by ensuring their children attend promptly at 10:00 AM and are picked up at 1:00 PM, as transportation will not be provided. However, lunch will be made available for all participants, ensuring a nurturing and supportive environment for learning and growth.

Let’s come together to build a future where every child thrives in a culture of respect and kindness!
