Cape Town:- Members of the Delft Crime Combatting Unit carried out disruptive operations in Voorbrug, Delft, on Saturday evening in an effort to curb ongoing gang violence in the area.

During the operation, officers arrested a suspect after finding him in possession of 50 rounds of ammunition, a plastic bag containing crystal meth, three small packets of cocaine, mandrax tablets, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

In an unrelated incident, members of the Delft Crime Prevention Unit searched a residence in Eindhoven, where they discovered 39 mandrax tablets inside the house. A 26-year-old woman was arrested on charges of dealing in drugs.

Both suspects appeared in the Bellville Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
