During cross-examination, a senior officer faced scrutiny over inconsistencies in her testimony, particularly concerning crucial timeframes. At one point, she contradicted previous statements, revealing discrepancies that inadvertently exposed procedural failures within the Saldanha SAPS. Notably, she claimed to have completed three hours’ worth of investigative work in a mere five minutes, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the initial police investigation.
