Following Death of Minister

PReporter – Felicity Jooste

Cape Town:- The police have confirmed that a five-member team will depart for Paris, France, this Saturday,  following the death of Ambassador Nathi Mthethwa earlier this week.

The team has been assembled to investigate both national and international security aspects surrounding the ambassador’s death and to coordinate with French authorities.

The police say the team’s mission will include gathering information, working closely with local authorities, and providing support to the South African community in Paris. The ambassador’s passing has caused widespread concern, and the police emphasized that ensuring safety and transparency in the investigation remains a top priority.

Cooperation between South African and French authorities is seen as critical to ensuring a thorough and timely investigation. Further updates on the investigation and the findings of the police team are expected in the coming days.
