To Accommodate Major Golf Event in Hermanus. 
Hermanus:- In a rare move of flexibility, Eskom has rescheduled a planned power outage in the Overstrand region to accommodate the 60th Nomads Nationals Jubilee Event, the world’s largest amateur golf tournament on a single course.
Originally set for 18 March, the outage affecting Hermanus, Stanford, Gansbaai, and surrounding areas will now take place on 25 March 2025, from 06:00 to 18:00. This adjustment allows uninterrupted power supply during the tournament, which runs from 16 to 20 March at the Hermanus Golf Club.
The event is expected to bring a major economic boost to the town, with 450 golfers and their families visiting local restaurants, wine farms, and attractions throughout the week. Businesses and residents have welcomed Eskom’s decision, as it ensures a seamless experience for visitors and minimizes disruptions for local establishments.
Areas Unaffected by the Outage:
Hawston, Fisherhaven, Vermont, and parts of Onrus will not be impacted by the power cut.
