Cape Peninsula: – Commuters traveling between Eerste River and Strand should prepare for temporary schedule disruptions as essential track maintenance gets underway.
Metrorail has announced that from Monday, March 24, to Thursday, April 17, 2025, certain train services will be suspended due to scheduled maintenance work aimed at improving track conditions and ensuring passenger safety.
Cancelled Train Services:
The following trains will not operate during this period:
- T3207 – 10:10 Bellville to Strand
- T3208 – 10:20 Strand to Bellville
- T3210 – 11:20 Strand to Cape Town
- T3209 – 12:30 Bellville to Strand
- T3211 – 13:20 Cape Town to Strand
- T3212 – 13:40 Strand to Bellville
Alternative Transport Advice
Passengers are advised to arrange their own alternative transport while work is underway. No official replacement buses have been announced at this stage. Cape Coast News (CCN) will continue monitoring the situation and provide updates if there are any changes to the schedule.
