THE AYANDA MYSTERY – A Case of Silence or a Cover – Up?

Reporter – Ashley Rix

Saldanha Bay:- It is almost unthinkable that not a single SAPS officer seems to know anything further about #Ayanda.

How is it possible that he remains just another name, not a person of interest, despite repeatedly being linked to Accused 1, Accused 2, and others?
Time and again, these officers claim that the only place they’ve heard his name is on social media. But how can that be when his name echoes through every corner of this case? Is this truly a coincidence, or a carefully constructed silence?

Mr. Lombard seems to be issuing all the instructions, yet he effortlessly dodges every question that mentions Ayanda. Makalima and Ayanda appear untouchable—shielded either by silence or something far more insidious. It’s as if these colonels were all given the same script—polished, rehearsed, and devoid of any details that might connect the dots too clearly.

And if Makalima and Phumza Sigaqa are, in fact, the same person, why were all charges against her dropped? Why did Renz, the girlfriend, also walk away free and suddenly become a state witness? It’s almost as if everyone orbiting Ayanda walks away untouched, unscathed—protected.

Something does not sit right. Seaboarder feels like a very shady place. The air around it reeks of cover-ups, convenience, and careful omissions.

Perhaps even more concerning, have we stopped asking the right questions? What was conveniently left out of the official reports? What was deliberately omitted from testimonies? And most importantly, who benefits from keeping Ayanda’s name off the record?

DISCLAIMER: These are not facts, just my own thoughts and questions—but I can’t help but ask:

How many times can a name be mentioned in a case this serious… before someone finally admits it’s not a coincidence, but a connection?
