Matatiele:- The Truth and Solidarity Movement, led by Mehmet Vefa Dag, has called for a nationwide shutdown on April 8.

They also demanding the resignation of Police Minister Senzo Mchunu over the handling of a seven-year-old’s rape case at Bergview College in Matatiele, Eastern Cape.

Dag insists that schools and businesses must close in protest, calling for the arrest of the school principal and for authorities to reveal the identity of a suspect allegedly found with child pornography.

“If the government won’t act, we will fight by all means. Enough is enough,” Dag declared, emphasizing that South Africans stand united against injustice, inequality, and crime.

The police ministry has responded, stating that DNA tests were conducted as part of the investigation but denied claims that Mchunu directly identified the school principal as a suspect.

With public outrage mounting, pressure is on the government to respond decisively.
