CAPE TOWN:-   A body was discovered on Bakoven Beach on Friday, 3rd October 2025, by a foot patrol officer.

Camps Bay SAPS were alerted and immediately secured the scene, with SAPS divers assisting in the recovery.

According to police, the deceased is believed to be the young man who was swept off the rocks in the same area earlier this week.

The Camps Bay Community Policing Forum supported the investigation on site.

Authorities extended condolences to the family and friends of the victim, urging residents and visitors to remain cautious along Cape Town’s rocky shoreline.
