‼️ Suspect Shot and Arrested After Wild Chase ‼️

Paarl:- A dramatic house robbery in Dal Josafat took a dangerous turn yesterday ,when a suspect, after assaulting a female home owner and stealing two firearms. ,was caught following an intense multi-agency pursuit.

The DFW control room received an urgent call for assistance after the suspect invaded a home, violently attacked the resident, and fled with stolen weapons. Fidelity ADT (FADT) officers were the first to respond, conducting a search of the area while awaiting backup. However, the situation escalated when shots were fired at them.

The rapid response saw multiple law enforcement and security units rushing to the scene, including officers from Paarl and Wellington police, K9 Police, AfriForum Neighborhood Watch, and other security teams. The DFW Fire & Rescue NPC also deployed rescue teams to assist.

A high-speed chase ensued across multiple farms, with several exchanges of gunfire along the way. Eventually, authorities managed to corner the suspect at the Dal Josafat St Helena farm. Even then, the suspect opened fire but was shot in the foot during the standoff.

Despite his injuries, the suspect survived, thanks to immediate medical attention provided by DFW EFAR medical responder A. Carlse and DFW Commander, who performed first aid before his arrest.

A massive thank you goes out to all the teams involved in the operation. Their swift and coordinated response not only led to the suspect’s capture but also sent a strong message that crime will not be tolerated in the community.
