Week 3

Saldanha Bay:-  As the third week of the Joshlin Smith kidnapping and human trafficking trial unfolds, explosive testimony continues to surface.

Today, Kelly Smith’s sister, #Mickeyla Davids, took the stand, shedding new light on Kelly’s alleged knowledge of Joshlin’s whereabouts in the days following her disappearance.

➡️ Davids testified that Smith told her, seven days after Joshlin vanished, that the little girl was still in Saldanha Bay.
➡️ According to Davids, Smith claimed that someone had planned to sell Joshlin, but due to the town becoming a hotspot for searches, they were unable to proceed.
➡️ “When questioned about Smith’s statements in a live social media interview with politician Gayton McKenzie on February 27, 2024, Davids strongly denied Smith’s claims that she had ever said Joshlin was sold for R20,000. She emphasized that any information she had came directly from Smith herself.”

💼 The current witness on the stand testimony will continue for the remainder of today, with #Renz scheduled for cross-examination tomorrow.

Public reaction remains strong. On social media, Esther Cameron shared her deep concern, saying, “I’m on my knees praying for this case all the time. May the Lord touch the accused’s hearts so they may speak the truth!” Meanwhile, Debra Sias expressed her disbelief, writing, “I’m sick. How can a mom do this?”

The trial presses forward and so does the pursuit of truth and justice for Joshlin.
