Kraaifontein has been left reeling after three separate double murders in just two nights.
On Monday night (8 Sept), two young men, aged 20 and 22, were gunned down on the corner of 9th Avenue and Verster Street in Eikendal.
A few hours later, the bloodshed continued in Wallacedene:
Around 23:30, two women aged 19 and 25 were killed in Molefe Street. A 24-year-old woman survived but remains in hospital.
Just 10 minutes later, in nearby Taleman Street, two more women in their twenties were executed in a bedroom with gunshot wounds to the head.
Police are investigating the possibility that the Wallacedene shootings may be connected. The motives remain unknown, and no arrests have yet been made.
Community voices are demanding urgent answers: βOur streets have turned into warzones. How many more lives before action is taken?β one local resident told CCN.
