Gugulethu Shootings Claimes Two Lives

GUGULETHU:- Police have launched an investigation into two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder, following a shooting incident last night ( Sunday evening)  at the Europe informal settlement in Gugulethu.

According to reports, an adult man and woman were fatally wounded, while two men aged 18 and 32, and an 18-year-old woman, sustained gunshot injuries.

SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed:
“Police members responded to a shooting complaint and, on arrival, found the victims with gunshot wounds. The man and woman were declared dead at the scene by medical personnel, while the other victims were taken to a medical facility for treatment. The motive for the attack is under investigation. The suspect or suspects fled and have not yet been arrested.”

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
