Cape Town Police Seize Major Drug Haul in Milnerton Bust

MILNERTON:–  In a well-coordinated intelligence-driven operation, police officers from the Mitchells Plain Sub-District Crime Combatting Unit struck a major blow against drug trafficking in Milnerton on Sunday, 16 March 2025.

Acting on detailed intelligence, officers meticulously planned a high-stakes search and seizure operation. Upon arrival at a targeted residence in Arena North, they faced resistance from the occupants but swiftly gained entry, determined to execute their mission.

Inside, officers found two men and conducted a thorough search, uncovering a small quantity of drugs. However, the breakthrough came when they interrogated the suspects and obtained crucial information leading them to a second location. There, officers discovered a VW Up loaded with a large consignment of drugs and cash, further solidifying the suspects’ involvement in the illicit trade.

Two Nigerian nationals were taken into custody for dealing in drugs, marking yet another victory in the ongoing fight against narcotics in the Western Cape.

This operation underscores the continued efforts of SAPS to keep drugs off the streets and protect communities from the devastating impact of substance abuse.
