Sauvignon Estate Perimeter

Reporter – George April

Brackenfell:- In the early hours of this morning, at approximately 02:00 this morning, ,   SJC Tactical Reaction Team (TRT) displayed exceptional vigilance during routine patrols in Brackenfell.

While patrolling along Brackenfell Boulevard towards Old Paarl Road, SJC TRT members observed a suspicious male at the perimeter of Sauvignon Estate.  Recognizing him from previous criminal activities, the team identified him as a suspect recently released from prison in January 2025 for armed robbery.

Upon conducting a search, a large knife was found concealed in the suspect’s left shirt sleeve, leading to his immediate detention for possession of a dangerous weapon.  Further investigation revealed break-in tools in his backpack, suggesting possible involvement in past or planned break-ins.

Brackenfell SAPS arrived shortly thereafter, and the suspect was taken into custody for further processing.

Great work to the  SJC Tactical Reaction Team!
