Silence Surrounds Court Appearance of Khayelitsha Pastor.
Despite shocking allegations of assault and rape against a well-known Khayelitsha pastor, there has been little public information on whether his scheduled court appearance took place as planned. The 51-year-old suspect was expected to appear before the Khayelitsha Magistrates’ Court on February 4, 2025, but no updates have surfaced regarding the proceedings.
The pastor, who allegedly convinced victims that sexual intercourse was necessary for “healing,” was arrested following a community-led intervention. Three victims, aged 15, 22, and 23, have since received treatment and counseling after coming forward with their experiences between November 2022 and January 2025.
The lack of available details has left many questioning the progress of the case. Was the hearing postponed? Did any new evidence emerge? The community is eager for justice, yet there seems to be a cloud of silence surrounding the case.
