46-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Eastridge
Mitchells Plain:- A 46-year-old man was shot dead on Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Stag and Klipspringer Roads in Eastridge, Mitchells Plain, police confirmed.
According to Western Cape Police spokesperson Captain F.C. van Wyk, the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
“The motive is believed to be gang-related. A murder case has been registered for investigation. The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene and are yet to be arrested,” Captain van Wyk said.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) urges anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be phoned in anonymously to Crime Stop at 08600 10111, or submitted via the MySAPS mobile application.
No arrests have been made, and officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
