Over the weekend, Eskom successfully brought back eight of the ten power units that had unexpectedly tripped, including five from Majuba, two from Camden, and one from Medupi. The power utility reassured the public that the issues were purely technical and unrelated to sabotage. Meanwhile, emergency reserves are being replenished, offering some hope for further stability.
Minister of Electricity, Aron Mabagoba, has assured the public that loadshedding “will not go past Friday.” However, many residents remain skeptical, especially given Eskom’s history of sudden setbacks.
