Cape Town:- South African rugby star Manie Libbok, who captured the hearts of fans across the country during his time with the Stormers,  is preparing to make his mark in Japan with the Hanazono Kintetsu Liners.

Libbok played a pivotal role in the Stormers’ resurgence back in 2021, guiding the Cape side to their first-ever United Rugby Championship title. His accurate kicking, playmaking flair, and calm leadership turned him into a fan favourite and one of South Africa’s most admired fly-halves.

Now, Libbok is ready to begin a new journey in the Japanese league, where he is expected to make his unofficial debut this Saturday, possibly facing fellow international star Richie Mo’unga.

For many South Africans, his move marks the start of an exciting new chapter, one that will see Libbok carry the same determination and class that made him a Stormers legend.

Wherever he plays, one thing remains certain: Manie Libbok continues to fly the South African flag high.
