Cape Town:-  The community of Lentegeur is reeling after the brutal murder of a 35-year-old father of five.He was brutally stabbed to death at a petrol station over the weekend.

The victim, identified as Diego Soldaat, had reportedly stopped at the garage to buy sweets and chocolates for his children when he was attacked. Witnesses say the incident unfolded suddenly, leaving bystanders in shock.

“It was heartbreaking to see. He was just lying there while people tried to help him,” said a resident who was at the scene. “He was a good man, always spoke kindly to everyone.”

Police confirmed that an investigation into the stabbing is underway. No arrests have yet been made, but authorities are following strong leads.

Soldaat’s family, devastated by his death, described him as a hardworking and loving father who lived for his children. “He didn’t deserve to die like this,” said a relative. “He was a peaceful man who just wanted to take care of his family.”

The senseless killing has sparked outrage among Lentegeur residents, who are calling for better safety and more visible policing at local garages, especially at night.
