One man was shot dead at the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court last week.
Sources say she is romantically linked to a suspected Junky Funky Kids gang boss and is accused of aiding in the murder of Dingalomoyo Chintso, 49, who was gunned down inside the courthouse.
The shooter, described as a lone gunman wearing a maroon t-shirt and black beanie, allegedly walked up to Chintso on the fourth floor and shot him four times in the head.
Police have since confirmed that Chintso was not a state witness, but was himself facing multiple murder charges, with two active cases in Muizenberg. He had a long criminal history, including previous murder and vehicle theft charges—most of which were later withdrawn.
Investigators believe Chintso may have been involved in the murder of Junky Funky leader Ashley “Essie” Phillips, who was killed outside Brackenfell Police Station earlier this year. The woman’s arrest marks the first major breakthrough in the case, and more arrests are expected.
Western Cape police say the investigation is ongoing.
