  Woman Fatally Shot in Delft

CAPE TOWN:- Delft police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old woman in the early hours of  Yesterday morning.

The incident occurred around 6:15 a.m. on 3 June at the corner of Mozart and Paganini Street in Delft South. It remains unclear whether the victim was on her way to work at the time of the shooting.

According to police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk, the woman was walking along Mozart Street when she was approached by an unknown man who shot her in the head before fleeing the scene. She was declared dead on site.

“The suspect has not yet been identified or arrested,” said Van Wyk –  “The motive for the attack is currently under investigation.”

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be reported anonymously via Crime Stop at 08600 10111, or by using the MySAPS mobile application.
