Both suspects are expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court in the coming days.
These targeted operations form part of the ongoing strategy by the South African Police Service (SAPS) to curb gang-related violence and restore safety in communities most affected by criminal syndicates.
“We are committed to taking back our streets from the grip of gang crime,” said a police spokesperson. “Our deployments are intelligence-driven and focused on prevention and arrests.
The operations are in line with provincial safety priorities, particularly in high-risk zones such as Kraaifontein and Bloekombos, where residents have long called for stronger police presence and intervention.
