BELLVILLE:- The South African Police Service (SAPS) has announced a cash reward of up to R50 000 for information that could help solve a double murder that took place in Bellville late last year.
According to police spokespersons, detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes unit are urgently seeking assistance from the public following the deaths of 40-year-old Chinese national, Muadi Huang, and an 18-year-old bystander. The victims were gunned down at a business premises in South Street, Bellville, on 8 November 2024 at around 19:30.
Police confirmed that the shooter, who wore a cap covering his face, fled the scene shortly after the attack. The motive behind the killing remains under investigation.
Authorities have urged anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. “We are appealing to the community to assist us in bringing the perpetrator to justice,” the statement read.
