GUGULETHU:-  Police have launched an urgent manhunt following the fatal shooting of three men in their twenties in the Lotus informal settlement on Tuesday evening, 7 October 2025.

According to reports, the victims were attacked at around 18:30 by unknown gunmen who opened fire before fleeing the scene. The motive for the attack remains unclear.

Detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit are pursuing all leads to trace and apprehend the suspects.

Western Cape police management has strongly condemned the “senseless act of violence” and assured the public that the case has been prioritised to ensure justice for the victims.
