In a separate operation in Lekkerwater Street, Tafelsig, Mitchell’s Plain, the members discovered 68 and a half mandrax tablets hidden inside a house. A 56-year-old male was arrested for possession of mandrax tablets.
Both suspects are expected to appear in their respective magistrate courts once charged.
Community Reaction:
Local resident Leandra Petersen from Hanover Park telephonically told CCN,
“It’s good to see the police finally making a difference again. Every illegal gun taken off the streets could mean one less child caught in the crossfire. We need more of these operations to make our communities safe again.”
