AFTER WOMAN FOUND SHOT DEAD IN TAMBO VILLAGE

MANENBERG:- Police have opened a murder investigation after the body of a woman was discovered in Oliver Tambo Avenue, Tambo Village, Manenberg, early on Wednesday morning.
According to SAPS spokesperson, Constable Ndakhe Gwala, officers were in the area pursuing a suspected stolen vehicle when they made the grim discovery.
“As they entered Oliver Tambo Avenue, they spotted the body of a woman behind a grey electrical box. The deceased had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her legs and neck,” Gwala confirmed.
The motive for the killing remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. “We appeal to the community to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the MySAPS mobile application,” Gwala said.
