Belhar Water Supply Update – City of Cape Town

Belhar:- This is an official update shared via the City of Cape Town’s local communication channels.

It is Friday morning and unfortunately, the water supply has not yet been restored. We have been informed that the City’s contractor has left the site, and no estimated restoration time has been provided at this stage.

We understand the serious impact this is having on our community—especially on the elderly, the sick, and children needing to attend school.

We kindly urge the community to remain calm and patient while we await further official communication from the City of Cape Town and the ward councillor.

Please continue to:

  • Assist neighbours in need, especially the elderly and ill.
  • Use stored water sparingly.
  • Keep taps closed to avoid damage when water is restored.

If water tankers are available, they will be coordinated by the councillor or ward assistants.

We acknowledge the frustration, and we thank you for your ongoing patience and cooperation.

“According to a message circulated in the local WhatsApp group, believed to be from the City of Cape Town…”
