Mossel Bay:- Fire crews from Mossel Bay Fire, Rescue and Disaster Contained were called out to vegetation fires, in the Dana Bay area during the early hours of Tuesday 16 September 2025.

The blaze affected areas close to Louis Fourie Road and the vicinity of South Cape College. Thanks to swift response and coordinated action, all fires were contained by sunrise. Firefighters remain on site to complete mopping-up operations and to ensure no flare-ups occur.

The Joint Operations Centre, through its CCTV control room, confirmed that no roads were closed and traffic in the area continues to flow without disruption.

Mossel Bay authorities praised the quick response of emergency teams, highlighting how community vigilance and strong coordination between services continue, to play a key role in managing fire risks during this dry season.
