– FOLLOWING THE TRAGIC DEATH OF CONSTABLE TYLER LAMB

CCN NEWS

CAPE TOWN:-  The CCN news team extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Constable Tyler LambThe 30-year-old Metro Police officer tragically who  lost his life,  while busy serving his community in Kensington.

Constable Lamb, who was newly deployed to the Neighbourhood Safety Officers programme, died during an operation after pursuing a suspect involved in a shooting incident. According to reports, he attempted to apprehend the suspect on a rooftop, where a struggle ensued, resulting in his fatal fall.

Four suspects linked to the incident have since been arrested and are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder, business robbery, and illegal possession of ammunition.

The City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith, has urged the courts to deny bail, emphasizing that if the justice system cannot protect its officers, it cannot protect the public.

Constable Lamb’s dedication and bravery serve as a solemn reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face daily in their duty to protect others. His loss is deeply felt across the policing fraternity and within the communities he served.

The CCN team joins the City of Cape Town, Metro Police, and residents in mourning this tragic loss.

“We salute Constable Lamb for his courage and commitment to keeping our communities safe. His sacrifice will not be forgotten,” – CCN Reporters.
