Malmesbury:- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Wesbank area that claimed the lives of two people and injured three others, including a woman, on Wednesday morning.
According to initial reports, a group of individuals was standing in a yard at the corner of Tinkie-tinkie and Kiewet (or Kiewiet and Visarend) Streets when four suspects travelling in a white Volkswagen Golf allegedly opened fire before fleeing the scene.
The Anti-Gang Unit is leading the investigation into two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder. Authorities believe the attack is linked to gang-related activity
Subsequent updates indicate that a third victim has since succumbed to their injuries, bringing the death toll to three, with two others still wounded.
