Urgent Warning to Residents

CCN REPORT

Saturday, 26 April – 14hoo

HOUT BAY:- The City of Cape Town has confirmed that an illegal land invasion is currently underway adjacent to Imizamo Yethu along Main Road, Hout Bay.

According to Ward Councillor Roberto Miguel Quintas, multiple law enforcement agencies,  including Tactical Response Units, Anti-Land Invasion Units, Metro Police, and other City enforcement teams, have been dispatched and are en route to the scene to address the situation.

Authorities have emphasized that the targeted area is under an active Court Interdict, meaning any occupation of the land is illegal. Enforcement action is imminent, and the law will be upheld without exception.

Residents are strongly urged to avoid the Main Road area near DARG (Domestic Animal Rescue Group) while operations are underway. Officials warn that all necessary measures will be deployed to restore control and ensure public safety.

Residents’ cooperation is critical during this time.

Stay tuned to CCN for further updates as the situation develops.
