Wet weather is forecast for the Western Cape over the weekend – Enjoy the Schools Sport on SuperSport

It’s a feast of future stars, fierce rivalries, and all-out school pride this weekend on SuperSport Schools, with a loaded lineup of action running from Friday, 6 June to Sunday till 8 June 2025.

  • Whether you’re a rugby fanatic, hockey enthusiast, netball supporter, or just love to watch young talent shine, there’s something for everyone!

Friday, 6 June Rivalries & Friday Night Lights

  • The weekend kicks off with an early morning rugby showdown as Rondebosch and Wynberg go head-to-head in three age groups, U16A & 2nd XV, with 1st XV teams from 08:30 to 12:30.

Expect classic Cape Town derby intensity as these traditional powerhouses’ clash.

The spotlight then shifts to Hyundai Friday Nite Lights, where Westville and Kearsney serve up four top-tier hockey fixtures.

Fast-paced, tactical, and thrilling, it’s a showcase of school hockey at its finest.

Wrap up your Friday with the latest episode of Rugby on 216, airing at 20:30, featuring “Big Hits and Big Trip.”

Saturday, 7 June – Netball.

Noord-Vaal Cup & Derby Drama

  • Saturday is all about netball brilliance, starting with the DStv Netball Challenge in KZN.
  • From 09:30 to 12:30.

  • At 12:35, it’s time for rugby firepower as Waterkloof takes on EG Jansen in a crucial SDC Noord-Vaal Cup
