Reporter – George April

Bishop Lavis:-  A community is in mourning after four people, two women and two men,  aged between 27 and 80 were shot dead.

The incident happened in a home in Reenberg Road,  on Friday evening.  The brutal attack occurred around 7:15pm when two gunmen stormed the bedroom and opened fire before fleeing in a VW Polo.

Police have confirmed the killings and opened four murder dockets. The motive remains unknown, and no arrests have been made.

Community leaders are calling for urgent intervention. “This violence must stop,” said Bishop Lavis CPF chairperson Graham Lindhorst. “We demand more visible policing and the return of experienced officers removed last year.”

This mass shooting follows several others in gang-plagued Cape Flats communities in recent weeks.
