Cape Town:- On Monday, 18 August 2025, members of the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team pulled over a suspicious vehicle along Koeberg Road near Milnerton.
Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered drugs hidden inside. The suspect, a 39-year-old Nigerian male, was taken to his residence for address verification. A further search uncovered additional quantities of cocaine, as well as cash amounting to R101 800, believed to be the proceeds of crime.
The confiscated drugs have an estimated street value of R800 000. The suspect was arrested for possession and dealing in drugs.
“Every drug dealer off the streets is one less destroying our communities,” said one Milnerton resident.
Another local added: “Now we need the courts to make sure this arrest counts.” “Too often they’re back on the streets in no time.”
Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
