Philippi:- Chairperson of the Policing Portfolio Committee, Ian Cameron, together with DA MP Nicholas Gotsell, reportedly fell victim to a smash-and-grab incident in New Eisleben Road, Philippi-East earlier today.

Police confirmed they are actively investigating at the scene and have mobilised resources in the area. No arrests have yet been made.
This incident comes amid ongoing concerns about violent crime and public safety in parts of Cape Town.

“These criminals don’t fear anyone anymore. This country is lawless.”
“Speedy recovery to those injured. But this shows: our leaders must experience what the people face daily.”
“We need visible policing and accountability. Philippi-East is a hotspot and has been ignored for far too long.”
