SOMERSET WEST RAPE INVESTIGATION

CCN Reporting

Somerset West:-  The Khayelitsha Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit is urgently appealing to the public for assistance in tracing an individual who may hold vital information in a rape investigation.

According to SAPS, the incident occurred in Mitchell Baker Street, Somerset West, on Saturday, 1 November 2025. Investigators believe the person depicted in the circulated photograph could assist them in the ongoing case.

The FCS Unit urges anyone who recognises the individual or who has information regarding their whereabouts to immediately contact the investigating officer, Detective Captain Riccardo McCree, on 082 522 3154, or reach out to Crime Stop anonymously at 08600 10111.

The public’s cooperation may play a crucial role in ensuring justice for the victim and strengthening the fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide in South Africa.
