RESIDENTS, STAY ALERT!

Reporter – George April

Plumstead:- A disturbing incident unfolded this morning at the corner of Severn Road and Chudleigh Road.

According to eyewitnesses, a woman was violently mugged by individuals in a silver combi. The suspects swiftly snatched her cellphone and fled the scene at high speed, heading in the direction of Dick Burton Road.

The victim was left shocked and crying out for help as the vehicle sped away.

This alarming event serves as a stark reminder that no matter how quiet our streets may seem, criminals are still lurking. Pedestrians are urged to avoid using their phones openly while walking and to always stay aware of their surroundings.

If you witnessed this incident or saw the silver combi, please report it immediately to SAPS or your nearest Neighborhood Watch.

Let’s protect our streets by looking out for one another. Stay safe, Plumstead.
