Reporter – George April
Cape Town:- In two separate incidents on the Cape Flats, SAPS made progress in their fight against violent and organised crime.
– Delft Arrests:
In a targeted operation, the Delft Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) arrested four suspects for the possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition, a stolen motor vehicle, and a hijacked vehicle. Acting on intelligence, officers swiftly moved in, recovered the illegal weapons, and seized both vehicles. The suspects are expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court soon on multiple charges.
– Mfuleni Fatal Stabbing:
Meanwhile, a man who was stabbed earlier in the day managed to make his way to the Mfuleni Satellite Police Station in search of help. Despite efforts, the victim sadly passed away at the police station due to the severity of his injuries. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Both cases highlight the ongoing violence plaguing local communities, and the urgent need for community cooperation and stronger policing.
Anyone with information on either case is urged to contact their nearest police station or SAPS Crime Stop anonymously.
