MUZENBERG:- Residents of Mike Place, Xakabantu, were left shaken late Saturday night, when the sound of rapid gunfire tore through the quiet streets around 23:30.

Moments later, police arrived to a gruesome discovery,  the lifeless bodies of three young adults, one male and two females, aged between 29 and 32, sprawled inside a home.

Amid the chaos, a fourth victim, a male, managed to escape despite being shot. Bleeding and injured, he sought help from neighbours, who immediately called emergency services. He was rushed to hospital, where he is fighting for his life.

The suspects fled into the night, vanishing before officers could arrive. Their identities and motive remain a mystery, but detectives have launched an urgent manhunt, working around the clock to piece together the puzzle.

One resident, still trembling, told CCN: “We heard the shots, one after the other… then it went silent.” “People were screaming.”  “It’s like a nightmare.”

Police have since intensified patrols in Muizenberg, vowing to prevent further bloodshed.  The killings have rattled the community, with many describing the incident as one of the most brutal attacks the area has seen in recent months.

The SAPS has appealed to the public for help. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or submit details anonymously via the MySAPSApp
