Delft:- A joint operation between SAPS, Law Enforcement, and the Special Operations Unit (S.O.U) led to the successful arrest of a wanted suspect and the recovery of a firearm in Wesbank.
The operation was launched around 13h00 after intelligence was received regarding the whereabouts of a suspect wanted for attempted murder. This comes amid a tense week marked by incidents of gun violence and an attack on police officers in the area the previous day.
Acting swiftly, teams from SAPS, Law Enforcement, and Alpha Guarding Solution’s S.O.U moved in and conducted a search at the suspect’s last known location.
Their efforts paid off when the suspect was apprehended and one firearm was recovered at the scene. The firearm has since been handed over to SAPS for further processing.
Authorities have praised the coordinated efforts, describing the operation as a well-executed success.
“This was a solid example of teamwork and swift action. Well done to all involved,” the statement from Alpha Guarding Solution concluded.
