After Fresh Assault Arrest

Atlantis:- Reagan Visagie has been arrested again, this time on a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) after an alleged unprovoked attack on a young man riding his bicycle.

The case is registered under CAS-442-09-26. It is alleged that Visagie deliberately targeted the victim because he was from outside the Sherwood Park area. Community members have strongly condemned the incident, stating that no individual or group has the right to claim territorial control over public spaces or prevent free movement between neighbourhoods.
A few weeks earlier, Visagie and associates reportedly erected American flags in the Sherwood Park area. City officials removed the flags following community complaints.
When Visagie appeared in court, the magistrate recognised him from a previous appearance. He admitted to having pending cases and previous convictions. He was remanded in custody until 25 September 2026 for a formal bail application.
Community representatives have indicated they will oppose his release on bail, citing what they describe as a clear pattern of violent behaviour. They say they will submit a petition to the court and continue to publicly highlight his conduct in the community.
The matter remains before the court.
